489 Nishkin Halupa A Pe Lachi X3; The OA Chapter contingent to the winter Philmont “Kanik” program is one of several adventures that Scouts from our group participated. “A Bridge To The Future” 1993 National Jamboree theme is highlighted in the patch. as is Scouting’s Founder – Baden Powell. The New Mexico stylized sun, “55” branded into the black bull and the Arrow that runs across the patch are all hallmarks of a unique collectible. This is the third year of the Philmont Kanik program. Lodge 489 Woapalanne Chapter is the only DFW area OA group who had participated. Woapalanne Chapter sponsored trips to Philmont for over a decade. Scouts from over 20 Troops and several councils benefited from these annual trips.

Leather Patches

Philmont has changed the program name from Kanik to Winter Adventure. Creating a greater collectable. This is one of only a few contingent collectibles for the Kanik Winter program. The 3 inch leather patch is very rare, created just for the adult Kanik Trekkers. However, the 2.250 inch, leather patch is very rare, it is created just for the Scout Kanik trekkers.
