Woapalanne Chapter F2; First Known Cavalcade OA Flap contingent patch for Woapalanne Chapter’s annual Philmont trip in the winter or summer. In addition, this 7 color OA Flap (2” by 5”)“ghosts” the “Kanik” in the red of the flag of the State of Texas. During January 1994, OA members flew into Amarillo Airport, drove rented cars to Philmont and participated in the “Kanik”program. During the summer of 1994, a contingent of Scouts and Scouters from Longhorn Council took part in the Cavalcade “horse trek” through the mountain trails of Philmont and in the 1994 NOAC event. Woapalanne Chapter supported Scouts in all 3 programs through fund raisers. In all, OA members and Scouts from 3 OA Chapters participated. One you gotta have … the 94 NOAC, Philmont Kanik and the First known Cavalcade contingent …. A NOAC and Philmont collectible …. twice the value and three times the collectible wrapped up into one patch.
OA Lodge Flaps design variations:
OA Lodge Flaps not fully embroidered Type F and can be Twill left (TL) or Twill Right (TR). Twill when viewed from the front, the rows of twill left appear to go up diagonally to the left. Twill right appear to go up diagonally to the right. Also there are Fine (TLS and TRS), Medium (TLM and TRM) and Course (TLR and TRR) rows made in Twill. Catalog Identifiers start with the letter “F” Worn by Order of the Arrow Members of this lodge.
OA Lodge Flaps Type S, includes Chapter, Event and NOAC Flaps and Patches Type S and can be Twill left (TL) or Twill Right (TR). Twill when viewed from the front, the rows of twill left appear to go up diagonally to the left. Twill right appear to go up diagonally to the right. Also there are Fine (TLS and TRS), Medium (TLM and TRM) and Course (TLR and TRR) rows made in Twill. Catalog Identifiers start with the letter “S” Worn by Order of the Arrow Members of this lodge.
OA Lodge Flaps identify which lodge a scout or scouter is a member. Normally, there is one lodge per council. Also, Lodges are divided into Chapters that are local to a given area within the lodge.
The Order of the Arrow’s purpose is to:
