Weather Merit Badge Type C Tan Cloth Narrow Crimped 1936 – 1942; Worn by Scouts upon completing all the requirements for this Merit Badge

These were made the same as the Type B except the margin between the edge and the embroidered green ring was typically 1/8″ leaving a patch that was 1.5″ in diameter. They were manufactured from approximately 1936 to 1942. After 1942, only the blue fabric, Air Scout merit badges were made this way. The khaki Boy Scout merit badges changed to Type D. The type C merit badges are called “tan narrow border crimped”.
