Veteran Unit Bar 30 Year Green on Bronze BSA Supply Division; the BSA created cloth bars to recognize Veteran Units. Bars produced for 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 75, 80, 90 and 100 years. The color of the numerals are green or black on a gold background. The exceptions: 75 year bar created in 1985 with silver numbers on a red background. And the 100 year bar created in 2010 with gold numbers on a red background.

The bar is sewn above the unit numerals and worn by all members of the unit beginning on the specific Unit anniversary.

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) provides the nation’s youth program of character development and leadership training. A program helps young adults be “Prepared For Life.®”. The Scouting organization membership is composed of approximately 2.2 million adults between the ages of 5 and 21. And approximately 800,000 volunteers in local councils throughout the United States and its territories.

Since its inception in 1910, more than 130 million young youth have participated in the BSA’s youth programs. 35 million adult volunteers have helped carry out the BSA’s mission.

For over 100 years, the BSA program has helped create generations of leaders and outstanding citizens. Achieved by allowing all youth to explore their interests,  and serve their communities. Discovering their talents through youth-led activities like hiking, camping, and volunteering.
