Scouting in the Catholic Church Set 2003
Mint
Scouting in the Catholic Church Set 2003; The Philmont Training Center (PTC) hosts Scouting in the Catholic Church each summer. Once participants arrive, they train adults on the proper way to conduct Catholic Scouting religious programs. A Scouter from the Diocese of Dallas and Ft Worth produced a “giveaway” fellowship patch for every participant. The Scouting in the Catholic Church Patch portrays the image of the Villa Philmonte.
The view is from the highway in front of the mansion. The 2 inch by 4 inch Villa Philmonte patch on the left is the site of the daily tour. Here visitors can view the “gift” that Waite Phillips gave to Scouting. Both patches meet at the Gazebo, which joins the Villa to the 2 inch by 4 inch Cafeteria. The 7 color patches are the first known patch where the entire Villa Philmonte is pictured in patch form.
“PTC” represents the Philmont Training Center,“Villa” (left patch) and “Philmonte” (right side) are ghosted.
Also, notice the ghosted “BSA”on the left and fleur di lis on the right makes this an official Scouting issue. There are 75 sets.
