First known Philmont 75th Anniversary contingent patch issued for a Trek undertaken during the summer of 2013. This unique 9 color patch features a Philmont brand, a 75 th Anniversary logo and the Tooth of Time peak. The “Tooth of Time” peak is 10,000 feet high and one of the most familiar landmarks in Scouting. According to legend, the “Tooth of Time” received its
name from wagon trains heading west. Once they saw the “Tooth,” they knew they had 1 day to reach Santa Fe, NM. Scouts from Longhorn Council will join the 75th Anniversary
celebration. The black border patch was issued for Scout participants and the gold mylar border for Leadership attendees.
