2007 100th Anniversary of Scouting Pray the Rosary. On July 26, 2007, 43 Scouts and 19 Scouters embarked on a faith journey. Unrivaled in the history of the Catholic Committee on Scouting Diocese of Ft, Worth.

This patch, designed by the 19 Scouters, would prove to be an inspiriation to all who received the “Pray the Rosary ” package.

The 2007 Ad Altare Dei Tour is the beneficiary of a parent’s gift. She steped  up and made 1.000 rosaries for the Scouts attending this tour.

“Pray the Rosary ” package

The ” Pray the Rosary package included the following:

  • Holy Rosary
  • How to Pray the Rosary
  • Blue Postcard for participants to mail back home
  • and the red bordered “Pray the Rosary Patch”

Participants are asked to distribute the 1,000 rosaries to Catholic Scouting representatives attending for training at th Philmont Training Center. These representatives were asked to gift the rosaries to whom ever they wished. Recipients of the rosary package is asked to pray  the rosary 3 times then mail the postcard back. Also, what they didn’t know was the every postcard received a reply with this Blue border “Pray the Rosary Patch”.

Therefore, for 2 years, the rosary postcards returned from Scouts and Scouters as far as New York, California, and Florida. The blessings continued… Scouter from Ohio and Louisianna ask to continue this practice and we accommodated the requests.
