The 9 color Logistics is a 2004 Kanik Trek contingent issue that has “2004,” “BSA,” and “Logistics” text ghosted within the design. The Philmont Brands are “ghosted” in the bottom portion of the patch. The top right portion merges with the grass/trees and boulders of the Tooth of Time contingent.
2003 Longhorn Council Philmont Trek and Philmont Dining Hall 2 piece
The first known Philmont “Dining Hall” contingent patch is for the dinning hall that each Philmont contingent visits when it returns from the mountains with a voracious appetite. For the Scouts about to start their Trek, it is a last chance at solid food before Pemmican Bars and MRE type meals were the main course for 10 days. The 7 color patch is representitive of the from the view just below the Dining Hall, looking towards the Tooth of Time and then turning it into patch form. The artist called this a “Patch Portrait.” The colors on the left and top mesh with the colors of the other patches so that this Dining Hall patch can exist on its own or as a combination with the other patches.
